What to check on my new 98 323IS

Im a first time BMW owner. 1998 328is with sport package, 5spd. 96k miles New rear springs, bushing and brakes are done. I know I have to do the front brakes(shakes).

What should I pay special attention to check on this car?
Any adivice is most welcome. Also front brake recomendations, Im an average driver, not wild man not old man...

water pump definetly needs changing! like now!

At almost 100k miles, I am damn sure that the original water pump broke already or was replaced as preventative maintenance so the current water pump shouldn't have 96k miles on it. It wouldn't be a bad thing to check but I bet its not going to break this week.

i was just guessing because it seemed that he did not mention it being changed even though itll break within 06k miles or so. thats why i said it needs replacing now!
