BTW, the downing/atlanta s/c does not produce boost at idle. it is in vacuum. the system has a bypass that kicks in just above idle and bypasses when you aren't into the loud pedal. this helps it's behavior and manners in that when you get off the gas and back on, there would be a big shock(bad) to the engine without the bypass. you don't want the power adder trying to suck the throttle body into the engine when the throttle is closed. a lot of turbos are set up so that this is the case. it is not a big drag race blower that is designed to hold wide open throttle until shut down. you would never know it's there if you didn't how underpowered the car was before. driveability is excellent.
