OK question I am a new Bmw owner (330I Sprt Pkg Auto) [burnout]

First, I love the Car My last car was a 2002 A41.8t

Owning the Audi I was never really concerned with gas mileage 18-Gallon tank about 22mpg City. Therefore, when I purchased my 330I I thought well it's a new car has a brand new engine all new tech! light and good power.

I have to say the MPG is horrible I do not drive the car hard and I cannot average more than 16.5MPG city. Highways are a different story but I rarely dive highway. Am I the only one that notices the MPG especially here in Miami premium is up to $3.05

Thanks

You guys Have a point my has about 4k Miles, I figure the MPG should improve, in time. I know that the fact that the car has an automatic, thats has some to do with it! I wish mine was 6MT but at the time they had none at the dealer!

Thanks

I had a 330i (just traded it in for an M3)... over the life of the car, while I had it (about 30k miles), I would say I averaged right around 25 mpg. Highway I could get upwards of 30 mpg. 16.5 mpg sounds very very low, and I would take it in if you don't see improvement. You may have something wrong with you O2 sensor, and it's just giving your engine way too much fuel. I know when I picked up my 330 new, I averaged about 30 mpg on the 200 mile drive home from the performance center.

With my '06 325i

with streptronic, I'm getting a combined 28.6 mpg with mostly CITY driving and with the a/c on. Although i usually do not drive with a lead foot, I think it's extraordinary!

Wow I honestly dont understand why I am getting such poor MPG the 330I has basicaly the same engine as the the 325i

I spoke with a service advisor here in, and he said that it wsas mostly because I was always dirving in trafic. But he has heard other complain about the New 330 MPG.
