my e30

#1
I am new on this site. My name is Stuart Mchenry, and this is my E30. It has 216,000 miles and a month or so ago, the M42 engine blew (timing chain idler sprocket failed). When I get back from vacation, we are finishing the 3 litre 24v engine project that I started about 6 months ago, and dropping it in the car.

Here's pics, then a mod list.

(throttle oversteer and i get along very well)

Ground Control 375/475 coilovers
Bilstein sport shocks
ST swaybars
E30 M3 front swaybar links
E30 M3 steering rack
E30 M3 offset control arm bushings
GC rear shock mounts
15x7 Borbet C wheels
225/50 Yoko AVS es100
low mileage '86 325es interior (everything)
Momo monte carlo wheel
UUC Rk2 shift knob
european bumper moldings
flat black bumpers (eurospec)
MHW smoked tails
MHW smoked front signals
Gangemi front splitter

there's more, i just can't remember. The new motor will be very cool, it is expected to deliver 250hp to the rear wheels, all motor.

thanks for looking

haha nice, make those tires even thinner [thumb] [burnout]

I actually love your car [thumb] I personally dont like them to be that low, but it looks great!

Gotta love e30's

Coilovers my friend, coilovers. Height adjustables. I can raise it over 2" from where it sits there.

The motor is a custom 3.0L S50 (u.s. spec) that will use completely stock internals, but with:
-head porting
-relief porting
-5 angle race valve job
-11:1 compression
-21.5#/hr injectors
-larger MAF
-custom intake/exhaust/chip (7400 rpm rev limit)

two hundred and fifty horsepower going to the rear wheels, all motor.
