Hey guys I have a 93 318i and I am considering lowering my car about 1 - 2". I'm not sure what the best way to go is. I have seen adjustable coil overs for like $70 US. Are these any good, or is there a better way?

I did post this in the suspension page but I swear no one goes there.

Do you have after market rims on the car yet? Cause after what happened to me this weekend, i'll make sure that i have my rims installed first before thinking about lowering my car. What happend to me was that my BRAND NEW TIRES and rims were rubbing against my back fenders.
Hope this helps.

cup kit will get you ~2 inch drop for the cheapest price... around $650-ish.... they're matched shocks and springs.. the H&R cup kit should be good... tirerack.com has them... most people stay away from them because they think it's too low... usually about a 2.2 inch drop..

not my car.. but this guy has a H&R cup kit... I think his car looks great.... and since the car is 4 door I think the drop is actually less than 2.0 inches.. 4 doors seem to have less of a drop typically than 2 doors...

I'm running H&R sports and Koni SA's... the drop is similar... that runs between around $1000..plus/minus $100 depending on where you go.. for the top of the line you want Bilstein PSS9 coilovers.. adjustable ride height (1 - 2.5 inches i think).. matched springs and shocks.. but that'll run you about $1300 plus/or minus $100...
