My friend owns a new 330Ci and we went to some big parking lot to show him what his car can really do... I took the car for some little powersliding action, and I turned the traction control off (pressed the DSC button so that it will show up in the gauge cluster all the time.. meaning it's off, hope im not wrong cuz if I am this changes the whole story), put the car on steptronic, first gear, threw some ass in the turn, floored the pedal and it started off well but at about the third kick of the pedal the engine wouldn't rev feeling like traction control is still on.. and even after the turn it wouldn't rev up only after about 3 seconds of being stable on the road the engine would rev again...
My opinion was that the traction control still stays on and tell me if I'm making a huge mistake by thinking DSC is the traction control... (what does it stand for anyway)...
Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks...

Even when you press the button once it turns off DSC, but it turns on the differential braking and there is still some rudimentry traction control on (Dtc), it just takes a lot more to make it intervene than Dsc, say...something like trying to kick the ass out in a parking lot. Turn it All off an you will have NO trouble throwing out the rear, I would be careful if the car is any less that about 2k miles though. If it is, take it easy.
