Convertible top leak

I have a 98 323ic convertible and I have a leak from the two front corners at the windshield. I have the records from the past owner that took it into the dealer and thy stated that the seals are worn and not sealing well. How do I find these seals and can I install them myself? Thanks for such a great place to “Get the Bim out”

I fixed mine by using my finger and smearing on a bit of clear RTV silicone. It has worked good so far. Hope this helps.

Did you just hit the rubber tips at each end of the windshield?

Convertible Leaks

Make sure that the rubber pieces on the top right hand and left hand side of the windshield are clean. This rubber piece is the piece held down by a rubber groment. Even lift up the rubber piece(a little bit) and make sure no junk(ie bugs) are underneath and the horizontal rubber piece that extends across the whole window. If there is dirt in this rubber piece water will drip and drip and drip on your leg while your driving

Did you just hit the rubber tips at each end of the windshield?

I just smeared a bit of clear RTV on the rubber tips, the black ones and a tad on the top. Never leaked again. Silicone does wonders.
