My Conforti intake filter fell off the intake duct and I drove w/ no filter for about a day w/o a filter. I am experiencing major horsepower loss.

Is there anything I can do to restore the loss of horsepower?

did you put it back on?

Is the check engine light on? Was it rainy when this happened? I'd hate to say it but if so, you could have gotten some water in the engine. If not, and the check engine light IS on, the MAF sensor might be be bad.

Its back on and no check engine light is on and there was no rain. The garage said everything was fine. There is a significant loss of horsepower and everyone who has driven it since asks me what happened to it. I don't know what to do about it.

The MAF can be bad even without having the engine light on. that happenend tp my uncles car multiple times. he experienced a major power loss but no light turned on.

or maybe you caught a bird that is now blocking the intake manifold....or maybe not...

lol @ the bird, if the MAF sensor is bad, it might be reporting bad data to the car's computer. Maybe the car's computer needs to be reset [???1]
