Bmw L7

Hey Group,

My uncle got a brand new BMW in 1987. It was (and still is) the most beautiful BMW I've ever seen. It was a black L7 sedan with a white leather interior. I have since NEVER seen another one; his was teh only one I've ever seen. It was around 45-50K in 1987. WHat the hell was this? A special edition? Please advise.....

the L7 is a 7 series made for royality ... and other "extreme" luxury ...

i think the car even has room for a small office-like setup in the back

Actually it wasnt like this one. None of the computerized office stuff. Just a very nice
sedan. White leather was very cool....

Is it a stretched version of the 7 series? Do they still make anything like it?

i am sure some special manufacturer such as schnitzer or hamann are do something similar. the actual 7 series has the yachtingline as special appearance. that is at least a step closer to that baby there.
