Automatic day light

I want to know if any one is having the same symptom.

I have my car programmed so that the beam light turned on at half power during the day and the regular head light would turn on at dusk/night.

At first, it worked as programmed, but during last few weeks, I notice that the regular head light are on all the time. It took me this long because I cannot see directly at my head lights. And, I found out about it when I was at a traffic light and I looked at the reflection of the lights. At first, I thought the day was too dark for the beam light to turn on half power, but after a while during a sunny day, I still see the regular head light on instead the beam light at half power. [???1]

Has any one experience this?
Where is the light sensor detecting bright or dark?

Maybe some dust collected on the sensor and causing it to think it's night time all the time? I really can't tell you what the problem actually is, are you sure it worked fine before?

Yes, it does. In fact, this was the first thing I checked after they programmed my car.

Where is the sensor?

I believe the sensor is located in the same place as the rain sensor. That would be where the rear view mirror is attached to the windshield (facing the outside).

IF the sensor location is at the rain sensor, then it should be clean last time I washed my car which was every week.

I guess I need to mention this to the dealer.
