I'm installing a couple of subs in my 318 coupe. I'm having a little trouble routing the 4 gauge power cable [yes, i'm pulling significant wattage] and inline fuse holder through the firewall into the engine compartment.

It's too fat to fit through the grommet into the fusebox [fuse holder is about 3cm diameter]. Are there any other holes in the firewall? Any other methods or suggestions?

TIA.

It occurs to me that if you started at the other end, you would only have to put the wire through, not the fuse-holder. If it's already run and you don't want to pull it back out, cut the wire short of the fuse-holder, shove the wire through, re-attach the fuse-holder with an appropriate connector.

Hey jcblaschke,
You have to run the power for an amp off the battery. So, if the amp is in the trunk you have to drill a hole in the firewall so you can run the wire.
