HI, I have a 89 320 is and will not fire ! it turns over but there is no fuel getting to the engine under its own steam but the pump is fine and works when fed. its been sat for a year or so but started no problem with a new battery. then the fuel line split so i replaced it and put some fresh fuel in it and now it wont run [???1] [:(] I am GUTTED ! ! !

Mine starts up fine when I take it out of storage, but the next time I start it, the pump won't pump, and I have to slam my fist on the back seat to get the pump going again.
So, the pump works, but you split a line, so I would figure that there is a clog somewhere between the engine and where the line split. Have you changed your fuel filter? Was the fuel system releived of pressure before the car sat for so long? Gas sitting in fuel lines for over a year will turn to crap, and gunk up your lines. I would suggest pulling the fuel line at the pressure regulator and seeing it anything is flowing there. If you're getting fuel there, pull it after the regulator... If you think it's getting fuel, make sure you're getting spark. Pull a few plugs and see if the're wet or smell like gas. Might as well change all the plugs at that point... let us know what progress you've made.

Thanks for your time to reply, i've checked that now and every thing seems good on the fuel side of things and is getting to the engine fine. i think now it maybe a sensor or ecu fault but i hav'nt got too much time now to check it out, so i'll let you know what it is when i get it sorted. Thanks again [cheers]
