Water leak - inside - any suggestions?

Ok, this has not been my month. First tires, then bent wheels, now a strange water leak below the rear bench seats. The kind of month that makes the thought of a new shiny BMW dance in my head....hmmmmmm.

Anyway, here is the issue. My car is a convertible, I have a hard top on for winter driving. A couple weeks ago I noticed dampness on the rear bench seat. I removed the rear seats which were saturated with water. Very strange. I took the seats inside and they dried out with minor damage to the leather. I thought perhaps this was a fluke leak from a hard rain or something - wrong.

Last week as I was considering putting the seats back in, I looked in the rear seats and there was about a gallon of water sitting in each side (where the rear benchwould have been). I got the water out and have noticed that the water is seeping in from the space where the seatbelts are bolted to the car (a layer of metal lower than the top metal). But only when it is raining/snow melting.

Any thoughts? Is there a rear end drain that could be plugged? If so, where? This car was repainted a little over a year ago so I feel something may be plugged from that process. The hardtop appears to be fully sealed. Any ideas will be much appreciated. No water pooling in the trunk, drain plugs below the main body are open/not plugged.

Thanks!
