I have a question on tires. It looks like most people here live in places where it snows a lot. I live in LA and it never snows here and never gets below freezing.
Here's my problem. What in the world should I do if I go up to the snow just for a day or a weekend of skiing?
I have 18" and obviously can't put chains on it (not that I would put chains). And it's far too much hassle to change all 4 tires just for a weekend, then change them back.
Any ideas on what I should do? I recall seeing on an info-mercial one time a plastic-type chain that just kinda of snaps into place. You have 2 halves and put them on the inside and outside of the tire, then snap them together. It was claiming to not damage your tires/rims. Anyone seen that?[???1]

![Stick Out Tongue [:p] [:p]](/images/smilies/tongue.png) you you really want to run on fat winter's? even if your rims are really cool.. but then again, you leased your car, and yer prolly saving around 7-800 on 4 rims, minus mounting costs, and keeping the sharp look. seems not a bad choice.
