another nOOb question

aloha , I told you I'd be asking alot of questions . Well anyway , I'm concerned about my warranty . i just purchased a ' 02 325Ci with 23,000 mi. I'm told by the Volvo dealer where I bought this car that the warranty is transferable or follows the car not the driver . So is it safe to assume that I still have my warranty for 4 yrs. and 50k from the in service date ? how do I find the cars original sale date and maintanence records.?
If I pull up a carfax on the internet will it help me or should I go down to my local bmw dealer ?

another quicky . when do I go for my inspection 1 and insp. II ? hey guys pls give me any info about warranty's and the like when buying a used bimmer .. again i have a '02 325Ci w/23k .

Yes your warranty is completely transferable. The best thing to do is have your local BMW dealer run your VIN for a complete maintenance history.

Inspection 1 should be around 30k miles.
Inspection 2 should be around 60k miles.

I believe Inspection 1 service is covered under your warranty.

Yeah, warranty is always "transferrable". A better way to look at it is that the warranty is for the car and not really for the owner.

yeah thanks guys . I was pretty sure but I was losing sleep over it . these forums are a place to get answers faster than being put on hold while calling my local BMW dealer ..especially the service center ..Now I just need to get my butt down to the dealer and try and get my maintanence records or at least a history . I dont know when my kast oil change was . I think i'll just do it myself with some mobil 1 and a good oil filter ...thanks again ..or as we say here .. Mahalo
